The Nash Community College April Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, April 28 from 9 a.m. until noon.  College officials encourage attendees to dress professionally.

Following is some useful information from Business Insider magazine for job fair attendees to help them prepare properly and get the most out of their experience:

•    Dress for success – although a job fair is not a job interview, it is a good idea to make a good impression by dressing professionally.

•    Do your homework – research companies that will be at the job fair, and don’t ask questions from representatives you could easily find the answer to online.

•    Be prepared to answer questions – this includes talking about yourself and your job experience

•    Don’t forget to follow-up – this may include applying online after speaking with a company representative. Be sure to send a thank-you e-mail to any recruiters you met.

•    Present a professional attitude – this includes a firm handshake, clear voice, good eye contact and a smile.

•    Don’t forget your resume – be sure you are putting your best foot forward with a resume free from typos. The resume should present a clear, accurate picture of your experience and best qualities.
